Our story so far
During a trip to Spain, Aaron stumbled upon a shop that showcased a variety of simple pop-up cards. The moment he saw them, he was captivated by their unique design and the joy they could bring to any occasion. On returning to Ireland he shared this idea with his girlfriend (now wife) Katie, and in 2013 Paper Bear was born. Together we worked on elevating a simple pop up card into something special, incorporating our own unique style, and pulling inspiration from our life in Ireland.
Starting our journey with just three designs at the Dublin Flea Market, we've since grown our collection to over 300 delightful designs! From the festive cheer of our Nollaig Shona Robin to the swoon-worthy Happily Ever After card, we’re all about capturing and celebrating those special moments.
We plant trees
Here at Paper Bear, we’re not just about sending heartfelt greetings and spreading joy through our cards. We’re also on a mission to give Mother Earth a big ol’ bear hug! We’ve teamed up with the fabulous folks at One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization that’s all about planting trees and saving the planet one sapling at a time. 🌍
As of September 2024, we’ve planted over 3100 trees around the world! That’s right, folks! Every single day, we’re out there digging holes and putting down roots (figuratively speaking, of course). So, when you send one of our greeting cards, you’re not just sharing love and laughter; you’re also helping to grow a greener planet.
Join us in our quest to make the world a little greener, one card and one tree at a time. Because together, we can turn over a new leaf and create a forest of possibilities!
